When you install the AFC manager software on a computer that is runningMicrosoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003, you receivethe following error message:

Setup cannot continue because some systemfiles are out of date on your system. Click ok if you would like setupto update these files for you now. You will need to restart windowsbefore you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup withoutupdating system files.

If you click ok to update the files and to restart windows, you receive the same errormessage when you run setup.exe to complete the installation.

This problem occurs when the setup package tries toinstall a newer version of a file that is protected by the windows fileprotection feature on the operating system. For example, if the setuppackage was built on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 andthe setup package includes a file that is protected by the Windows fileprotection feature, this problem occurs on computers that have an olderversion of the same file and that are running Windows XP or Windows2000.

To avoid this download the service pack for Visual Basic 6.0:run-time redistribution pack (vbrun60sp6.exe) from the Microsoft website. Follow this link: and there select the download visual basicruntime - full version - single download. Follow the installationprocess and after that install the AFC manager software.
