Abbreviation Key:
BIP - BACnet/IP
BNS - BACnet MS/TP (BACnet Serial)
EIP - EtherNet/IP
MBE - Modbus TCP/IP (Modbus Ethernet)
MBS - Modbus RTU (Modbus Serial)

Lower case c means is a client example, s means server (or slave depending on the context), m means master example. Anything followed by parentheses () is a special variant of another existing sample with the contents of the parentheses giving a hint as to what that variant is for. For example, a sample that ends with (PF525) is a template for use with a PowerFlex 525 specifically.

Note: All abbreviations are from the perspective of the PS-QS it self. So BIPc_2_EIPc is the PS-QS being both a BACnet/IP Client to BACnet/IP server end device(s), and an EtherNet/IP Client to an EtherNet/IP Server (usually PLC or end devices). When talking to Control Logix or Compact Logix EIPc is the most commonly used template, and involves neither EDS nor MSG blocks in the PLC, but rather the PS-QS messaging the PLC's tags directly. The heartbeat.csv is not a full template, but just an example of how to build a heart beat signal in a PS-QS.
