Water and wastewater systems often require long range communication to remote pump stations, lift stations, flow meters, reservoirs and storage tanks. ProSoft Technology’s new Intelligent Cellular solutions leverage existing cellular infrastructures to bring access to these remote devices and locations. With Intelligent Cellular, remote pump stations, lift stations and tanks may all be linked back to the treatment plant’s PLC network. Event detection and alarm reporting allow authorized personnel to receive SMS notifications at predetermined set-points in the digital input readings, and can troubleshoot remotely over the cellular network, saving costs in both time and travel for maintenance repairs.

Intelligent Cellular solutions combine robust industrial cellular technology, industrial protocol templates, and ALEOS(TM) persistent connection management. ALEOS enables users to monitor device status and health information including network connectivity, throughput and signal strength. Intelligent Cellular uses the ACEmanager(TM) utility for local or over-the-air device configuration and diagnostics. Integration is made easy with downloadable configuration templates that support various industrial protocols like DF1 and Modbus. Configuration templates may be customized and copied to many devices.

The Intelligent Cellular solutions offer a compact form factor, low power consumption, DIN-rail mount and a rugged design which supports industrial operating temperatures and Class I Div 2 hazardous location certification. They are suited for industrial automation applications such as remote equipment monitoring, management and control, OEM equipment monitoring, M2M applications, and non-time-critical control for municipal water/wastewater and SCADA applications. Serial Modem for Global GPRS/GSM (RLXIC-SG)
Use the RLXIC-SG Serial Modem for applications requiring serial connectivity on cellular carriers that use GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) to provide service, including AT&T in the USA and Rogers in Canada. GSM is also the predominant cellular technology in most other parts of the world. For customers outside of North America, ProSoft Technology works with global Mobile Virtual Network Operations (MVNO), who allow us to provide cellular service for customers worldwide.

Ethernet Gateway for HSUPA (3G GSM) Networks (RLXIC-EH)
Use the RLXIC-EH Ethernet Gateway for applications requiring Ethernet connectivity on cellular carriers that use GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) to provide service, including AT&T in the USA and Rogers in Canada. GSM is also the predominant cellular technology in most other parts of the world. For customers outside of North America, ProSoft Technology works with global Mobile Virtual Network Operations (MVNO), who allow us to provide cellular service for customers worldwide.

Serial Modem for the Verizon Wireless CDMA Network (RLXIC-SV)
Use the RLXIC-SV Serial Modem for applications requiring serial connectivity on cellular carriers that use CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) to provide service using the Verizon network in the USA.
